School Meals
The Hermitage Schools' meals are provided by Surrey County Council Commercial Services. All food is freshly cooked on the school premises. Surrey County Council Commercial Services have their own website, www.itstwelve15.co.uk where you can find more information. You will find the current menu on the site plus lots of information for adults and fun games for children to learn about food.
We offer a two course, nutritionally balanced meal for £2.70, which represents excellent value for money. We offer 3 choices each day including a vegetarian option. We can cater for most special dietary requirements, but if your child has any allergies please check this with our school meals team. For junior aged children we offer a seasonal salad bar and fresh baked bread. For all children there is a choice of desserts including cheese and biscuits, yoghurt or fruit. Menus are offered on a three week cycle.
Free School Meals
Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals. Please check with the school office if you think you may be eligible and/or if you require an application form. If you are eligible but do not wish to take the meals, please complete a form as you may be entitled to other benefits through the school. If you want to find out more about free school meals eligibility, please speak to the school office.
School Meal Price
The cost of our school meals are £2.70 per day, £13.50 each week. Payments must be made in advance on a weekly, monthly, half-termly or termly basis through our online payment system, Scopay. Absences, will of course be credited. You can obtain a code for payment through the school office. If you think you qualify for free meals please contact the school office.
Please note that the school has been advised by Surrey County Council to warn parents that if they persistently send a child to school with no food, or payment has not been made for school meals, then they may be reported to the local welfare office for child neglect.
Packed Lunches
Children may prefer to bring their own lunch. For safety reasons we ask that glass containers and cans are not brought into school.
Water Bottles
The children are required to bring a clear, labelled, sports type water bottle to school so that they can drink frequently. This aids concentration and helps to avoid dehydration. These should only contain water which can be refilled during the school day.
Playtime Snacks
Children may bring healthy and nutritious snacks for the mid-morning playtime.
-
Fruit e.g. apple, banana, raisins, fruit smoothie

Vegetables e.g. carrot, cucumber
