School Life

The Hermitage Schools are at the centre of our inspiring and inclusive community where every child is treated as an individual and is challenged.  We believe that every child is unique, with unique gifts and abilities. Our role is not merely to promote the individual learning of the child but also to draw out all unique gifts and to see that each child is valued for his or her particular contribution.

We encourage independent thinking and recognise that children are born with an insatiable curiosity.  We therefore encourage all our children be curious, ask questions, explore possible answers and communicate their learning to others.

Our broad rich and balanced curriculum enables our learners to discover and celebrate their talents in a wide range of fields.  Growing up in the 21st Century is challenging; therefore, we want to ensure our children are prepared for the next stage in their lives, academically, socially and emotionally.  Through child-centred activities and experiences, we want to ensure our children develop their confidence, self-belief, self-esteem and resilience to become life-long learners and be successful in life.
